THE multi award-winning kids’ band, The Mik Maks are bringing their show ‘Songs To Help Us Grow’ to Hamilton.
Having performed to a nearly sold-out crowd in 2017, they make their long-awaited return to the HPAC these school holidays.
Brothers Al and Joel McInnes, Joel’s daughter, Ava, and lovable friend, Drums the Panda, are incredibly excited to bring their show to the young families of Hamilton and surrounding areas.
Born and bred on a farm in Wickliffe, this family band spend their busy days performing across Australia or popping over to the United States to work directly with YouTube and Google in Los Angeles.
“We’ve written this show with the well-being of our little fans in mind,” front man, Joel said.
“It’s sprinkled with messages of kindness, accepting differences and resilience.
“‘Songs To Help Us Grow’ is a wonderful mix of new songs and the classics.
“It’s intimate and 50 minutes of singing, dancing and giggles.”
Youngest member of the band and Joel’s daughter, Ava McInnes said that forming bonds with audience members was the best part about being a Mik Mak.
“Seeing expressions change on the faces of the children during the show is amazing but my favourite part is getting to meet and greet young families after the show,” she said.
HPAC manager, Amanda Hurley said the event provided an amazing opportunity for families to enjoy quality time together during the school holidays.
“We are thrilled to host the hugely popular children’s entertainers The Mik Maks for a live performance of their hit songs at HPAC,” she said.
“With hundreds of millions of views on YouTube, The Mik Maks have cultivated an enormous following, becoming one of Australia’s most beloved kids’ acts on the platform.”
‘Songs To Help Us Grow’ is a wonderful musical experience for children aged 2-8 years and is being performed at the HPAC on Friday, April 5 at 11am.
