A dancer’s final Eisteddfod

HAMILTON dancer, Millie Clark, 17, began dancing at the age of three and started to compete in the Hamilton Eisteddfod twelve years ago.

Over the years, Millie has done a variety of dance including ballet, contemporary, lyrical and jazz.

“Performing in the Eisteddfod has always been very exciting but it’s nerve wracking as well – the whole competition aspect,” she said.

“But I think it really helps improve the ability to perform and it’s wonderful to watch people from all around Victoria – to see how they dance, and obviously the adjudicator’s feedback.

“It’s just good to be able to improve each year,” she added.

After having performed in the Hamilton Eisteddfod for so many years, Millie said, “I’m a bit sad as it’s my last (Eisteddfod) this year.”

Millie has further studies in mind but stated, “I’d love to come back and help out at the Eisteddfod and with the performance that they put on.”
