AN impassioned plea to the Victorian Minister for the Environment, Steve Dimopoulos, has been made by Western Victoria MP and shadow environment minister, Bev McArthur, for the renewal of the Dingo Unprotection Order 2023, which is due to expire on October 1.

This order, which has been periodically reviewed and modified, allows for the “unprotection” of dingoes in specific areas of Victoria, meaning they can be legally destroyed under certain conditions.
