GLENELG Shire Councillor, Merino farmer, and Hamilton resident, John Northcott, is beginning an awareness campaign to object to the massive increase in the fire services property levy (FSPL) on the latest rates notice.

The annual fire services property levy is collected by local councils and usually appears on your rate notice and is purportedly used to support emergency services.
