Country city disparity underlined

REGIONAL Victorians are paying 21 per cent more for water, 30 per cent more for electricity and 50 per cent more in property rates compared to city residents, according to data revealed last week.

Lowan MP Emma Kealy said this revelation was on the back of a Parliamentary Budget Office report that confirmed regional Victorians were only receiving 13 per cent of Victoria’s funding despite making up 25 per cent of the state’s population.
