THE sun shone brightly, bringing out over 300 visitors to the Open Garden Day at ‘Coorabil’ last Sunday, which raised funds for a new café for aged care residents at the Western District Health Service Coleraine Campus.
Rowena and Ian Plush generously opened their beautiful garden in support of the Coleraine Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and raised in excess of $5300.
The garden looked spectacular as guests strolled through shady tree lined walkways and along stunning herbaceous borders full of irises, roses, lavender bushes and valerians (to name just a few species).
The event featured a raffle, plant sale, and catering provided by the Catching Pen; it was a perfect day to enjoy the outdoors while raising funds for a great cause.
WDHS gave a big thank you to the dedicated members of the Coleraine Hospital Ladies Auxiliary who organised such a fantastic day, worked hard on the gate and sold raffle tickets and plants throughout the day.
