THE LOCAL derby game always brings out the best in players no matter what the sport is, and with Penshurst hosting arch-rivals Glenthompson-Dunkeld at Penhurst Recreation Reserve today in round eight of the Mininera and District Netball Association (MDNA) A grade competition, there will be plenty at stake other than the four premiership points on offer.
FIFTY-NINE men and nine women participated in Saturday’s stableford event with A grade having a very close finish with the placings being decided on a three-way countback with Jason Chandler taking first spot, runner-up going to Mal Groves and third place going to Jim King all finishing on 37 points.
