KERR AND CO stock agents, Zac van Wegen (hand raised) and Craig Pertzel (pointing) were busy fielding bids on Monday in front of a packed crowd at the Hamilton Regional Livestock Exchange (HRLX). Along with other agents, 3860 angus steers were sold on the opening day of the annual Western District Weaner Sales. The prices were considered slightly above expectations, with the trend expected to continue throughout the week. Over 20,000 cattle will be yarded in Hamilton and Casterton this week, with sales in Hamilton each day through to Friday. Page of pictures inside.
