Rain reduces heavy weight and export lambs

NUMBERS were reduced at Hamilton on Wednesday to 33,000 lambs yarded with the decrease being 6000 head.

There was general rain in the district which would have influenced the reduction in numbers. The top end of the yarding was filled predominately with good quality trade weights with smaller numbers of heavy weight and export lambs offered. A higher percentage of the yarding was shorn, and the yarding tailed off quickly.
