THERE was another excellent offering of sheep of all weights and grades saw 11,718 being offered at Hamilton this week.
A full field of processers were in attendance in an erratic market that started subduded but quickly gained momentum to be firm to slightly dearer in places.
Very light 1 and 2 score sheep under 18kgs were $5 to $10/head dearer.
Heavy crossbred ewes made to $232 with the well covered Merino ewes making between $156 and $215p/hd. Wethers to $220p/hd.
The average run of Merino mutton made between 600c and 660c/kg cwt with very good wethers making from 650c to 700c/kg cwt.
Rams, terminal sires to $100 and the Merinos, shorn to $86/head. Hoggets made to $210/head.
