The Wannon-based athlete retired from gymnastics last year and signalled her intention to pursue the winter sport, gaining selection in the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) Aerial Skiing Program.

The 18-year-old was set to spend fortnight blocks at Mt Buller, but with the lockdown closing the ski resorts to the public, the squad spent nearly three months at the popular snow spot.
