The Bowling Arm Brigade was at it again, last week it was Rob Henstridge who destroyed the opposition, and this week Keith Dunn has taken over, bowling with deadly accuracy and with a bit of help with team mates Peter Clapham and John Crane won the social bowls on Saturday with three wins and 15 shots up.
Despite extreme weather there were 36 intrepid bowlers who took part and close behind the winners was the team of Graeme Tonissen, John Forsyth and ever improving Noel Murphy with two wins and a draw.
On Thursday perennial star Rob Thornton and Carolyn Schurmann won the pairs from Kevin Buck and Russell Sherren , who is already one of the finest bowlers in the club but can’t break through for a win – it won’t be long.
Preparations are complete for the July Bonanza Day on Saturday. Sponsored by generous club members the day will commence at 10.00 A.M. with a light lunch included. Enter by Thursday and wear a beanie and warm clothes.
The indoor pennant team is celebrating after a spine-tingling win against Grangeburn by two shots. This could be the start of a run to the finals.
Keep it up!

ORFORD & DISTRICT TABLE TENNIS ASSOCIATION
The dreaded winter flu season played havoc with teams this week resulting in a forfeit by Warrnambool Warriors to Glengleeson.
A loss this week saw Myndarra drop out of the top four, with only Glengleeson as a potential win in the following three weeks, moving back up the ladder seems an uphill battle.
Week 11
Warrnambool Vikings v Attunga
Unfortunately, no matter how long the games and rubbers are, how late the night is, how close the rubbers, games and points are: Warrnambool Vikings will take home the four points.
Orford v Pt Fairy
Due to the long absence of Russell Hussey from the Orford side, Pt Fairy should win. Orford has had few nights this season with both Russell and David Rowbottom playing.
Tarrone v Glengleeson
Glengleeson won earlier in the season when Gareth Spring succeeded in the last rubber of the night when the scores were tied at 5/5.
They should take home the points this week again, as they have proved the stronger team so far this season.
Warrnambool Warriors v Myndarra
Warrnambool Warriors will sing a happy tune on the way home.
Week 10
Myndarra lost to Warrnambool Vikings 8.25/3.10
Aaron Rowbottom was Myndarra’s winner, while all Warrnambool Vikings won two rubbers.
Attunga d Orford 9329/2.8
Both Val & Ian Wortley won their three rubbers, while David Rowbottom and Jayden Clapp were Orford’s winner.
The association wishes Russell Hussey a full recovery and looks forward to seeing him back at the table next season, if not sooner.
Pt Fairy d Tarrone 1.25/4.14
Tarrone’s David Warhurst won his three rubbers, he teamed with Peter to win a close double against Pt Fairy’s Ray Young/Tony Storer 2/11, 11/7, 13/15, 11/4 & 11/7.
David later went on to win a five-game rubber against Ray 11/9, 9/11, 11/8, 10/12 & 14/12
Glengleeson won a forfeit over Warrnambool Warriors.
