EIGHT local basketballers are set to take their game to a new level after being selected in the Under-14 Regional Academy program.

The Basketball Victoria Country program is a training and development program for country athletes that concentrates on advanced individual and team skills and the locals made the cut after 920 kids attended a skills day last month.

Matthew Calvert, Holly Rook, Ruby Cleaver, Jobe Dunn, Charlie Baker, George Field, Riley Iredell and Jack Sobey were among the final group selected in the academy.
