ST Mary’s Orange has held on to win a thriller against Minders White, claiming a 43-40 win in the Hamilton Basketball Association (HBA) Men’s Division 1 clash on Wednesday.
Deacon White led the way for the Saints, putting up 13 points to help his team to victory, while Paul Churchill’s eight points was the best for White.
Minders Blue d. Barber Boys
IT was an even closer contest in the late game, with Minders Blue winning by two points against Barber Boys.
The 41-39 final score showed how evenly matched the two teams were, with Joel Le Roy shooting a game-high 14 points for Barber Boys, while Aaron Glare topped Blue’s scoring with 11 points.

Minders Blue d. St Mary’s White
THE opening game of the round saw Minders Blue and St Mary’s White battle it out with just one point separating the two teams at the final buzzer.
Blue’s 33-32 victory was thanks to 14 points from Maddison Cotten, while Stella Grinham did her best to keep White in the game, putting up 10 points.

SPORTSCENE Minders’ tough start to the season continued, falling to St Mary’s, 23-31.
Paige Kissel and Mia McGrath each put up seven points for Minders, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Saints, after Clare Crawford’s 12-point game created the required scoreboard buffer.
Tigers d. St Mary’s Black
TIGERS got on the winners list for the first time this season, defeating St Mary’s Black by 21 points.
The dominant performance was led by Karoraina Karatau-Keightley, who finished with 12 points in the 17-38 win, while St Mary’s Black’s top-scorer was Ruby Cleaver with nine points.
