THE Hamilton Hurricanes hosted Colac in round eight Country Basketball League (CBL) action on Saturday night, going down by 13 points in their final home game of the season.

A fast start from the visitors put Hamilton on the back foot, trailing by 11 at the first break, before rallying to close the deficit to just six by half time.

A 20-4 quarter from the Kookas all but put the result beyond doubt, but the Hurricanes stuck with the task and put up 21 points to 12 in the final term to go down, 50-63.

Josh Miller put up a game-high 21 points for the home side, while Joel Le Roy added 14 points and Jakob Greaves finished with nine points.
