GEORGIA CLARKE has re-signed with the Geelong Cats for the upcoming AFLW season, stretching her period in the hoops into a fifth season.

The Branxholme product played just the one game this past season, but the club announced the re-signing of 22 players including Clarke on Monday.

Clarke played her fourth AFLW season in 2022, having been drafted in 2018 at pick number 24 and she made her debut in round two of the 2019 season.

Clarke seems to have found her preferred position up forward, when she kicked 18 goals in 13 games in Geelong’s 2021 VFLW team.

She will be looking to apply this form at AFLW level to secure her place in the team’s forward line for the upcoming season, which will begin in August for the first time and will have a full contingent of 18 teams after the recent league expansion.
