FOUR Hamilton Kangaroos juniors have been selected in the 2024-25 Hampden Football Netball League (HFNL) Under-15 Talent Identification Development Program.
Jedd Oxley, Theo Lehmann, Carter Ewing, Oscar Templeton are part of the squad of 37, which includes juniors from all 10 Hampden league clubs, and will undertake sessions starting next week, across two four-week blocks.
The eight-week program will be led by the league’s talent identification and development program coordinator, Brett Taylor, and Western Bulldogs Academy coach, Ben Walsh.
The program aims to increase opportunities for HFNL players and improve the chances of selection in elite talent pathway programs like the V-Line Cup, Coates Talent League, VFL and AFL.
Brett Taylor said the program was a critical period for physical and skill development for young footballers.
“The program aims to develop skills and knowledge in an environment focusing on refining technical skills, decision making skills and game strategies through ball centred activities and modified games,” he said.
