PORTLAND earned themselves a hard-fought and much-needed victory on Tuesday in their Anzac Day clash with Hamilton Kangaroos in the Hampden Football League, with the final scores 9.6 (60) to 4.15 (39) on the Tigers’ home deck of Hanlon Park.  

The Tigers could not have asked for a better start to what senior coach Jarrod Holt called “their biggest match of the season,” winning the first centre clearance and punted the ball deep into the forward line, where Will Hunter was able to get on the end of it to snag their first goal inside 30 seconds.
