FORTY men and two women participated in Saturday’s par event.as Matt Hill had a day out finishing with +4 to claim top spot from Shannon Kearns +3, while third spot went to Chris Crane on +1.
Balls down the line went to Phil Schultz, Stephen Astbury and Rob Stagoll all square, Tim Walkenhorst, Chuck Raymond, Greg Stevens and Doug Francis all -1.
Nearest the pin and superpin winner was Nathan Caruana taking home $53.
The sixth hole was won by Chris Crane, 13th Chuck Raymond, 16th Dan Tehan.
Nearest second shot on the ninth hole and 15th hole was Graham Rentsch.
Cindy McLeish had the best score in the women’s par finishing with -5.
Wednesday
FORTY-SEVEN women took to the course on Wednesday playing for the July monthly medal, stroke and putting event.
Fran McMeel was the winner of July monthly medal finishing with 97 (23) 74 nett, McMeel was also the B grade winner, finishing one shot ahead of Kavell Lyons 75 nett.
A grade was a very close affair with the first three placings being decided on a three-way countback as Jo Forsyth came out on top with Anne Ryan taking out runner-up, both on 75 nett.
C grade winner was Eileen Robertson 75 nett from Lisa Murphy 76 nett.
Balls down the line went to Kerryn Price 75 nett, Di Raymond and Jane Bunge 76 nett, Rita Walkom and Jenny Edwards 77 nett.
Nearest the pin on the third hole went to Anne Ryan, the sixth hole was won by Lyn Satchell, 16th went to Debbie Milne, longest putt on 13th was won by Joan Lewis, second shot on 15th Di Raymond.
The putting was won by Molly O’Brien with 28 putts.
Next week the women start their winter competition which means over the next two months they will be playing stableford, there are no starters and no nearest the pin competition during this period.
Tuesday
IT was a cold start but turned into a nice morning with a good turnout for beginners and emerging golfers.
Kris Fox continued her good form to return a very good score of 28 points in the beginners group.
In the emerging group Helen Dillon and Alan McLaughlin both finished with 19 points, one point ahead of Kerry Martin on 18 points.
Winner of the nine-hole competition was Leonie Schurmann with 13 points.
Craig Davis will be running further lessons open to anyone on July 23rd and July 30th.

THE club had a great roll up for our junior school holiday program with PGA Professional Craig Davis and Molly O'Brien helping.
The club will look to run this program again in the next school holidays
Today’s event is stroke with the men playing for the July monthly medal and the women will play a round of the Kavell Lyons Trophy.
