A FIELD of 20 pairs took part in the men’s foursome’s championships, with Kynan Caruana combining with Nicholas Armstrong to win with a very handy score of 68.5 nett.
Runners-up were Chuck Raymond and Jason McIntosh with 73 nett.
Balls down the line went to Angus McLeish and Olly Francis 73.5, John Hill and Tim Lloyd 74.5, Graham Rentsch and Mal Groves 75, along with Shannon Kearns and Eli Potts 75.5.
Nearest the pin on the third hole went to Kynan Caruana, the 13th was won by Groves and the 16th went to Bill Tyson.
Eight women played stableford with just three points separating the field.
Chantal Butcher ended up taking top spot on a countback from Wendy Wathen after both finished with 30 points.
Kerryn Price finished third with 29.
Price was also nearest the pin on the sixth hole and hit the closest second shot on the ninth, while Debbie Milne took out nearest the pin honour on the 16th.
Wednesday
A GOOD field of 46 players participated in a stableford event.
The A grade winner was Jeanette Carmichael with 31 points, from Lyn Satchell on 29.
B grade was won by Bev Tyson with 34 from runner-up, Rita Walkom, who finished one point further back.
C grade honours went to Jen Upton on a countback from Jen Hutton after both returned with 30.
Balls down the line went to Marg King 31, along with Karen Payne and Jenny Edwards on 30.
Nearest the pin on the third hole went to Bev Tyson, the sixth was won by Price, and Robyn Holcombe saluted on the 16th. The longest putt on the 13th was holed by Lyn Satchell, and the closest second shot on the 15th went to Jane Sharp.
Next week the women will be playing an Irish Stableford event, with teams of three.
Players are encouraged to wear something green to go with the Irish theme.

THERE was no beginner or emerging golf on Tuesday, due to the welcome heavy rainfall on Tuesday morning.
