HOCKEY is back with the Glenelg Region Hockey Association season getting underway on Friday.

The 2021 season will include Division 1 men, Division 1 women, Division 4, Division 5 and a 16-and-Under section.

Association president, Peter Musson said both the committee and players were excited to return to the pitch later this week.

“I think everyone seems to be keen to get going and have a full season,” he said.

“I think it will be a very interesting first weekend and hopefully we get some people come down and watch and have a go if they are thinking about it.”

Despite missing the entire 2020 season due to COVID-19, the association has held steady with strong numbers of teams for this year’s schedule.

Musson said a slight drop off in players could be possible but was happy to have a strong contingent of teams for the year.
