A HAMILTON man who was charged with digitally raping a girl at a college party sleep over in October 2018 has been found not guilty.

Cameron Pepper, 26, was found not guilty on two rape charges and two attempted rape charges in the Warrnambool County Court on Tuesday, following a jury deliberation that lasted days and saw 11 of the 12 members side with him.

The trial began on November 1 and finally concluded after the court heard from numerous witnesses who were at the Stephen Street house on the night of October 26, 2018.

THE total number of cases for the COVID-19 outbreak in Hamilton now stands at 26 following the announcement of eight new cases on Wednesday morning.

Over 1000 people have heeded the call to ‘get tested’, in response to a COVID-19 outbreak linked to a country music event at the Hamilton Golf Club on Sunday, November 14.

On Tuesday, the cluster had grown to 18, with 14 of those having attended the music event in person, three were household contacts and one was a workplace contact.
